About Me *
I’m Yushan Zhai and everyone calls me Mint(despite mint being my least favorite color and flavor, I kinda love this name). Born in Beijing and based in New York since 2017, I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the School of Visual Arts’ Design program and currently work as a freelance designer.
Outside of design, I’m a chronically indoor subculture enjoyer. I’m obsessed with video games, manga, indie perfumes, electronic music, and countless niche interests that are hard to categorize.
To me, design is a way to amplify ideas and visions through my own lens. A form of rebellious storytelling that invites people to imagine what exists beyond the expected.
